IMO NEW REGULATION | EPIRB, VDR FFC    

New regulations from July 2022 for EPIRB, Float Free VDR Capsule

We would like to inform you that from July 1st, 2022, the new IMO performance standard – MSC.471(101) IMO and SOLAS requirements will become mandatory. This new performance standard for the EPIRBs and the new float-free VDR capsules will enable improved functionality and will offer quicker response and ability to locate the vessel in distress conditions.

In view of the above, equipment complying to these new requirements for the EPIRB’s (including the new VDR FFC) will need to be delivered to end-users after this date.
