Discontinuation of 4 Engine Monitor Systems and Successor Systems

Discontinuation of 4 Engine Monitor Systems and Successor Systems

We are pleased to announce that we have discontinued normal sales of the following four models of our engine monitoring systems. This discontinuation is due to the difficulty in procuring most of the parts used in these systems in the wake of the recent global parts shortage.

・SMS-22
・SMS-32
・SMS-32-K
・SMS-22-K

We have a support policy of “long-term supply of maintenance parts” for our self-developed products and strive to continue supplying parts to vessels in service as long as possible.

However, the normal supply of maintenance parts for the above models is not available, and in the unlikely event of a malfunction, land-based repairs are unavoidable. We would like to express our gratitude to the customers who have been using these models for many years, and for the sake of safe operation, we are proposing to replace it with its successor, “SMS-55”. We would appreciate your consideration.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, such as “whether the model in use is applicable” or “whether there are any symptoms of concern. We will conduct a ship-visiting survey anywhere in Japan.

We do remain at  your disposal for any further assistance and more information.
